A new poll shows Tom Corbett is trailing Democratic challenger Tom Wolf by 22 points in the race for Pennsylvania governor.
The Franklin and Marshall College poll shows 47 percent of registered voters plan to vote for Wolf, while 25 percent said they would vote for Corbett.
Only 27 percent of voters surveyed said Corbett is doing an excellent or good job as governor, and just 26 percent believe he deserves re-election.
Among Republican voters, 49 percent rated Corbett’s job performance as excellent or good; an improvement from January when only 38 percent of Republicans rated his performance that way.
The survey of 502 registered voters was conducted June 23-29 at Franklin & Marshall and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.
