Carlisle man charged in theft at Upper Allen construction site

A Carlisle man was charged in the theft of tools from a Cumberland County construction site after he placed on ad for the equipment on the Internet, police said.

Aaron Babner, 21, sold some of the equipment to an undercover officer, and Upper Allen Township police said the owner confirmed the tools were among those stolen from job trailers last month.

Babner is accused of a generator, drills and other power tools from the Orchard Glen development off East Winding Hill Road during the weekend of June 13-15.

Police said they found more stolen tools at Babner’s home and at a pawn shop in Lebanon County.

He was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, possessing instruments of crime, and criminal mischief.
