A major renovation project is taking place at the Forum in Harrisburg.
The building has hosted thousands of events since it opened in 1930 and now, officials say they want spectators to have a more comfortable and convenient experience when the facility re-opens in three months.
Crews are repairing the roof and more than 1,600 seats are being replaced for the fourth time in the building’s history. But this time, there will be 150 less chairs installed to give people more leg room.
Long lines at restrooms have been a problem during intermissions so restrooms are being renovated. More women’s facilities are being added along with two unisex restrooms that will be handicap and family friendly.
The renovations are expected to be completed in three months.
