People living near Fort Indiantown Gap may notice increased noise between Saturday and Thursday.
The the military training facility has scheduled artillery and mortar live-fire exercises between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. during each of the six days.
Mortar training using 120mm rounds is scheduled for Saturday through Monday, while artillery training using 155mm Paladins is scheduled for Sunday through Thursday, according to a Pennsylvania National Guard news release.
The exercises are part of a routine training.
Fort Indiantown Gap, the only live-fire, maneuver military training facility in Pennsylvania, announces the live-fire exercises as a courtesy to nearby residents.
