A 14-year-old student brought an AirSoft pistol to Conestoga Valley Middle School twice this week, but police say there is no evidence of any credible threats or that the boy intended to harm anyone.

East Lampeter Township police said they believe the boy took the pistol to school on Tuesday and Wednesday to bolster his image.

The pistol, a replica of a 9mm Glock handgun, did not have any orange markings to indicate that it was not a real firearm, police said.

The gun is in police custody and the teen will be charged as a juvenile with disorderly conduct and possession of weapon on school property.
