Lancaster man charged in 2 home burglaries

A Lancaster man has been arrested for burglarizing two houses earlier this month while the residents were home and asleep.

Noel C. Agosto-Acevedo, 32, is accused of break-ins May 16 in the 200 and 300 blocks of North Mulberry Street, city police said in a news release Friday.

Police said Agosto-Acevedo was arrested May 22 on an unrelated bench warrant and matched the description of a man seen fleeing the 300 block of North Mulberry in surveillance video.

His fingerprints were then compared to a fingerprint found in one of the homes and determined to be a match, police said.

Agosto-Acevedo was charged with two counts of burglary, one count of theft by unlawful taking, and four counts of access device fraud.

His bail at Lancaster County Prison was set at $100,000.
