Students unharmed in Earl Township bus crash

No students were injured when a car sideswiped an Eastern Lancaster County school bus this morning.

The crash occurred on Route 322 at Cabin Road in Earl Township around 8:19 a.m.

New Holland police said the driver of the car, 25-year-old Rachel Precise, became distracted while speaking to her 8-year old child, crossed the center line and sideswiped the oncoming school bus.

The bus had 14 students on board and sustained minimal damage.

Precise, of New Holland, was transported to Ephrata Hospital for an arm injury and her car was towed.

Police said she will be cited for careless driving.
