A Dauphin County man with previous sex-crime convictions has been jailed on allegations he had inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old boy.
Kenneth Michael Keefer, 53, of Lower Swatara Township, was charged Tuesday with indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors, township police said.
Keefer is accused of putting his hand on the boy’s thigh while the two were in Keefer’s van, and at other times asked the teen to engage in sexual acts, according to the criminal complaint.
Keefer, a registered sexual offender, was committed to Dauphin County Prison on $200,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled June 4.
According to court documents, Keefer pleaded guilty in 2004 to the indecent assault a minor less than 13 years old. He was also convicted of indecent assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse in 1990, according to the Megan’s Law website.
