Snapper’s Calamari

Enjoy this recipe for Snapper’s Calamari from Snappers Bar & Grill in Mechanicsburg.

What You’ll Need:

3 cups vegetable oil

¼ cup all-purpose breading

¼ cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

1 tablespoon garlic salt

12 squid cleaned and sliced

Grated Parmesan cheese

Lemon and parsley for garnish

What To Do:

1. Preheat oil in a heavy, deep frying pan or pot to about 350 degrees F.

2. In a medium mixing bowl mix all dry ingredients together. Dredge squid through mixture.

3. Place squid in oil for 2 to 3 minutes or until light brown (do not overcook).

4. Dry squid on paper towels. Serve with wedges of lemons.
