The suspect in the armed robbery of a Hanover business this week has been arrested.

Zackery Alan Thompson-Kassakatis, 22, of York Springs, was taken into custody this morning in Westminster, Maryland, according to Hanover police.

Thompson-Kassakatis is accused of robbing a business in the Hanover Crossing shopping center in the 400 block of Eisenhower Drive Monday night.

He has been charged with robbery, unlawful restraint, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Police said the victim, a 21-year-old McSherrystown man, was alone in the business when the robber began browsing the store as if he were a customer.

He eventually approached the cash register, raised his shirt to show the handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and handed over several hundred dollars from the register, police said.

The victim was not injured.
