The Capital Area Greenbelt is being spruced up.
Mile “zero” was marked at Front and Walnut Streets Thursday.
This weekend, 140 new and bigger signs will be hung all along the Greenbelt, providing mile-markers around the 20-mile loop.
“They’re going to give a much crisper, cleaner look and a really nice continuity to the entire trail and provide a safer, much more enjoyable experience for the user,” Kyle Shenk, president of the Capital Area Greenbelt Association said.
Nearly $50,000 was raised for the project.
