The West Shore Theatre in New Cumberland will reopen Friday evening.
The theatre on Bridge Street has been closed for a week while it was converted to digital. Major movies are no longer shot on film.
The switch cost more than $100,000.
The West Shore Theatre opened back in 1940.
Also reopening on Friday is Haar’s Drive-In in Dillsburg. It opened in 1952 and underwent its digital conversion last year.
There are 350 drive-in theatres left in the country.
