Harrisburg man charged with making counterfeit cash

A Harrisburg man has been indicted on federal charges he manufactured counterfeit cash.

Abdel Jaber Obaid, 31, began making counterfeit $50 and $20 bills in at least as early as
April 2012,
according to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith.

The fake money was passed at businesses throughout Dauphin County, Smith said.

If convicted, Obaid faces 20 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $250,000.
