Brazilian company to bring 73 jobs to Franklin County

A Brazilian machinery manufacturer will establish its first U.S. facility in Franklin County in a move that will create 73 new jobs.

Governor Tom Corbett said Torcomp USA will construct a 16,400-square-foot manufacturing plant in Greene
Township and plans to invest more than $9
million at the new site.

Torcomp has also committed to creating at least 73
new jobs over the next three years, Corbett said.

Corbett said the project is a direct result from his jobs mission to Brazil and Chile in April 2013.

The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority will provide a
$640,000, 15-year, low-interest loan at 2.25 percent to Franklin County
Area Development Corporation on behalf of Torcomp.
