Man charged for $3,300 in thefts from vehicles

A Lancaster County man has been charged with stealing more than $3,300 in cash and property from unlocked cars.

Kyrell S. Wright-Smith, 22, of Mountville, is accused of entering five unlocked vehicles in various locations in Lancaster Township between April 8 and Monday.

Police said he stole cell phones, jewelry, computers, a GPS, and cash.

On April 9 and 14, Wright-Smith attempted to cash checks that had been stolen from two of the vehicles, police said.

He has been charged with two counts of forgery and criminal conspiracy to commit forgery, plus five counts of theft from a motor vehicle and criminal conspiracy to commit theft from a motor vehicle.
