Police are looking for a man wanted for numerous thefts and daylight home burglaries in Lancaster County.
Christopher Wayda, 39, is a native of New Jersey and is believed to have fled there, Manor Township police said Thursday.
Wayda is suspected of four incidents in the township between March 21 and March 31.
Police believe he stole large amounts of jewelry from a home in the 400 block of Millersville Road on March 21 and a second home in the 200 block of Longwood Court on March 31.
Wayda is also accused of stealing coins and mementos from a home in the 700 block of Millersville Road on March 28. Police said he kicked in the door of a second home on the block that day, but fled when he confronted the resident.
Police said the total loss in the four crimes was more than $5,000. They said some of the stolen jewelry was traced to a local pawn shop, and more jewelry recovered at a township home led to the identification of Wayda.
Manor Township police charged him with three counts each of burglary and theft. Additional charges against him are pending in Manheim Township and East Hempfield Township.
