Harrisburg woman held for court in baby’s abuse death

A Harrisburg woman is headed to trial in the death of her 11-week-old baby.

A district judge on Thursday found enough evidence against 19-year-old Latoya M. Green to forward charges of criminal homicide, endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment to Dauphin County court.

A formal arraignment was scheduled May 27.

Green's daughter, Zai'mera Eden, was taken off life support at Penn State Hershey Medical Center on Feb. 4, five days after she was admitted to the hospital for bleeding in the brain, according to Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico.

An autopsy Feb. 7 found the baby girl had suffered traumatic brain injuries and had multiple rib fractures in various stages of healing, indicating multiple incidents of abuse over a period of several weeks, Marsico said.

Green is jailed in Dauphin County Prison without bail.

at least two occasions, including the day the baby was admitted to the
