Work on Route 30 to start Monday

Preparatory work will begin Monday on a road project to repair and resurface four-and-a-half miles of Route 30 between York and Hallam.

Drivers should expect shifting traffic patterns and single-lane restrictions on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. between North Hills Road in Springettsbury Township and the bridge over Kreutz Creek Road in Hellam Township, according to a PennDOT news release.

Starting in May, construction crews will change to a nighttime milling and paving operation between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The $3.37 million project is scheduled to be completed in September 2015.
