Police: CD East middle-schooler threatened student with knife

A 12-year-old student at Central Dauphin East Middle School is facing charges after he pulled a knife on another student, police said.

Lower Paxton Township police said the two students had been in a minor altercation in a school stairway this morning when the boy retrieved a folding knife with a three-and-a-half inch blade from his locker and threatened to stab and kill the other student.

Other students who witnessed the incident reported it to the office. School officials then secured the knife and removed the student from the rest of his class, police said.

The boy was released to a parent. Police said charges of terroristic threats and having a weapon on school property will be filed with Dauphin County Juvenile Probation.

“Everyone is okay. That's all that matters at this point,” parent Yvonne Moussa said.
