Harrisburg police arrested a man who barricaded himself inside an Uptown home after a nearly five-hour standoff this morning.
Officers were attempting to serve an arrest warrant at the home in the 2300 block of N. 3rd Street when 27-year-old Jody Spinks refused to cooperate, police said.
Spinks was wanted on simple assault and theft charges.
The standoff, which began around 4:15 a.m., was brought to an end just before 9 a.m. when officers used what appeared to be tear gas in a bedroom.
Spinks was taken into custody without incident.
