Police in Newberry Township, York County said they are investigating multiple burglaries in the northern part of the township.
The homes are in rural areas, and the burglars are using pry tools to force their way inside, police said in a news release Thursday.
The areas that are being targeted are Kise Mill Road, Stricker Drive, Stevens Road and those adjacent to these streets, police said.
The burglars are not taking electronic or household items, but are specifically looking for loose cash in drawers and containers, according to the news release.
Police urged anyone who sees anything suspicious to immediately call 911. They also asked victims to report the crimes, as some incidents apparently have gone unreported.
