Lebanon man arrested on heroin, gun charges

A Lebanon man was arrested after he pointed a handgun at people and was found in possession of heroin, city police said.

Jamar Edmonds, 28, brandished the handgun during an argument over a family matter Wednesday afternoon in the first block of N. 12th Street, police said.

Edmonds than ran from responding officers and was taken into custody after a foot chase. The firearm was recovered and officers found several bags of heroin and cash on him, police said.

Edmonds was charged with persons not to possess a firearm, firearms not to be carried without a license, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple assault and recklessly endangering.

He was placed in Lebanon County Prison on $100,000 bail.
