Police: Man fed heroin habit with grandparents’ money

A Dauphin County man allegedly stole more than $30,000 from his grandparents so that he could use their money to buy heroin, state police said.

Robert L. Behney, 35, of Berrysburg, was acting as power of attorney for the elderly couple when he began stealing their money in September, state police in Lykens said.

Police said Behney bought the heroin for his personal use.

He was charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property.

His bail at Dauphin County Prison was set at $10,000.
