York police: Teen shot in arm

Police in York City are seeking information after a 16-year-old told officers he had been shot in the arm outside his home.

On Friday at around 8:15 p.m., York City police officers were notified that a juvenile was being treated at York hospital for a gunshot to his left bicep.

Upon their arrival, authorities said the 16-year-old was uncooperative and provided police with little information. The victim told officers that he was shot in front of his home in the 300 block of West Gay Street by an unknown gunman.

Fifteen minutes earlier in the evening, police received reports of shots fired in the 600 block of West Market Street. It is unknown if the two incidents are related.

The victim is being treated at York Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
