Newspaper writer taken to hospital after Lebanon fire

A local writer is recovering from injuries after flames ripped through his home in Lebanon.

Firefighters were called to the house on Church Street just before 6:30 Thursday night. According to the Lebanon Daily News, firefighters say the blaze started in a second floor bathroom and spread to the attic.

The homeowner, a 61-year-old man, was taken to the hospital for burns and smoke inhalation. He is a freelance writer for the Lebanon Daily News.

A fire also destroyed the home of the paper's former managing editor on Friday. That fire was ruled accidental. The cause of last night's fire is still under investigation.
