Thrifty Thursday Health Snack Recipes from 3/6/14

Parmesan Popcorn

• 1/2 cup popcorn kernels

• 3 T. oil (peanut oil is optimal)

• 1 T. melted butter

• 2 T. shredded parmesan cheese.

• Few grinds of fresh cracked pepper (optional)

 

Taco Popcorn

• 1/2 cup popcorn kernels

• 3 T. oil (peanut oil is optimal)

• 1 T. melted butter

• 2 t. taco seasoning

 

Savory Crunchy Chick Peas

• 2 cups cooked chickpeas (canned is fine. Drain, Rinse & Dry)

• 1 1/2 tsp. salt

• 1 tsp. smoked paprika

• 1/4 tsp. chili powder

• 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
