Candidates vie for lieutenant governor position during debate

Six Democrats vying for Lieutenant Governor held a debate Saturday afternoon in Harrisburg.

The debate took place at the PA Progressive Summit at the Hilton. Six of the seven hopefuls, including Harrisburg city councilman Brad Koplinski and Jay Paterno participated.

Democratic State Representative Brad Neuman of Allegheny County and current Lieutenant Governor Jim Cawley did not attend.

Last month Councilman Koplinski won the most votes at the Democratic State Committee meeting, but fell short of the two-thirds majority to win an endorsement.
