Man held for trial in fatal shooting of Harrisburg woman

A Shippensburg man is headed to trial on criminal homicide and other charges in the shooting death of an 18-year-old Harrisburg woman.

Michael Gelsinger, 23, was held for court during a preliminary hearing Thursday. His formal arraignment in Dauphin County court was scheduled April 8.

Gelsinger is accused of fatally shooting Tiana Dockens, the granddaughter of Harrisburg City Council President Wanda Williams, in the 1600 block Thompson Street during
the early morning of Dec. 6.

Dockens was struck by a stray bullet when several men exchanged

An Enola man, 22-year-old Joseph Payne-Casiano, has also been charged with homicide.
