Police: 2 posed as electric company reps in Cornwall

A man and woman posed as electric company surveyors and tried to get into a Lebanon County home Wednesday night, according to police.

Cornwall police said the pair asked to evaluate the electricity usage and electricity bill of Burd Coleman residents.

Authorities said the two were carrying a clipboard and claimed to have a permit to solicit from Pennsylvania State Police, but no permits were issued by either state or borough police.

The man was said to be in his 30's, about 6'1″ tall, 190 lbs., with curly brown hair and glasses. The woman was described as being younger with brown hair and brown eyes, police said.

Police said residents should not allow the couple into their homes, but call (717) 272-2054 to file a report.
