Mattress stolen at stop sign, victim tells police

A Fayetteville man says someone must have stolen his queen size mattress while he was stopped at a stop sign.

The man told state police in Chambersburg that he was coming home from Hagerstown, Maryland on Wednesday when an unidentified vehicle pulled in behind his car at the intersection of Mont Alto Road and Spring Road in Guilford Township.

He believes an unknown amount of actors must have taken his mattress while he was stopped, but told troopers that he did not see or hear anything while he was stopped, police said in a news release.

He told troopers that there is no way his mattress would have blown out during the drive from Hagerstown, police said.
