Dover man killed in N. Codorus crash

A Dover man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in North Codorus Township, York County.

Brandon Krichten, 32, was driving a 1997 Ford Explorer on Bentz Road and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Stoverstown Road before colliding with a 2001 Ford Windstar minivan at 3 p.m., according to Southwestern Regional police.

Krichten and his passenger, 31-year-old Ronald Smith of Spring Grove, were ejected from the Explorer and were not
wearing seatbelts, police said. Krichten was killed instantly.

Smith and the driver of the Windstar, 42-year-old Chad McWilliams of Red Lion, were taken to York Hospital. Police said their injuries did not appear life threatening.
