Wednesday evening, PennDOT crews geared up for another round of snowfall.
At the Dauphin County Yard in Susquehanna Township workers were checking equipment and loading up to pre-treat roadways.
It is all hands on deck, yet again, for this storm. However it presents a number of challenges. To name a few, the time of day the snow is expected to fall, the anticipated mix of precipitation and, of course, the amount snow forecasted to fall.
“Where are we going to put it? So we have some graters here that we will be able to use in some areas […] to level it off so we can pile some more snow in there and get it cut into where the snow is already piled up,” PennDOT Spokesperson Mike Crochunis said.
Officials remind drivers to stay at home if they do not need to be out. If you do have to drive on Thursday, take it slow and don't pass the plow trucks.
