Police in Lancaster County arrested a 20-year-old woman after she reportedly attacked her mother and responding officers on Friday night.
Authorities were dispatched to a violent domestic call in the 200 block of South Railroad Avenue in New Holland at around 9:10 p.m.
A woman told officers that her daughter, 20-year-old Alexandra Szymanski, had smashed her head against the floor and bit her arm. The mother had minor injuries and refused medical attention.
Officials found syringes and between 50 and 100 empty heroin packets on the daughter's bedroom floor. When one of the officers tried to arrest the daughter, she resisted. Three of the officers had to carry her out to the police car while she spit and kicked.
She was arrested for aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia and arraigned. After being unable to post her $75,000 bail, she was transported to Lancaster County Prison.
