Gibbles Foods has new owners who plan to have the popular snack products back on store shelves next month.
Robert and Amy Hartman of the Hartman Snack Group Inc. announced Friday that all the Gibble’s products will be manufactured in Chambersburg and in the same production plant as the original products.
“We'’re pleased to say that the plant will start up with all former
employees of Gibble’s who worked in the production facility previously,””
Amy Hartman said in a news release. ““They are very familiar with the products and the
production process and will be making the same products with the same
recipes and quality ingredients that made Gibble’s a household name.
Gibble’s Homestyle Potato Chips, Original Cheese Flavored Cheese Puffys, White Cheddar Cheese Puffys, Old Fashion Thin Pretzels, and Minis Pretzels will be reintroduced in Mid-Atlantic region stores first.
Additional products – which include
the Gibble’s Red Hot Potato Chips, Bar-B-Q Potato Chips and Kay
and Ray’s Potato Chips – will be re-launched at a later time, the company said.
The Hartmans presently own King’s Quality Foods Inc. and All Seasons Kitchen Inc. in Bowmansville, Pa.
