Gibbles Foods has new owners who plan to have the popular snack products back on store shelves next month.
Robert and Amy Hartman of the Hartman Snack Group Inc. announced Friday that all the Gibbles products will be manufactured in Chambersburg and in the same production plant as the original products.
“We're pleased to say that the plant will start up with all former
employees of Gibbles who worked in the production facility previously,”
Amy Hartman said in a news release. “They are very familiar with the products and the
production process and will be making the same products with the same
recipes and quality ingredients that made Gibbles a household name.
Gibbles Homestyle Potato Chips, Original Cheese Flavored Cheese Puffys, White Cheddar Cheese Puffys, Old Fashion Thin Pretzels, and Minis Pretzels will be reintroduced in Mid-Atlantic region stores first.
Additional products – which include
the Gibbles Red Hot Potato Chips, Bar-B-Q Potato Chips and Kay
and Rays Potato Chips – will be re-launched at a later time, the company said.
The Hartmans presently own Kings Quality Foods Inc. and All Seasons Kitchen Inc. in Bowmansville, Pa.
