Residents in the 300 block of East Cherry Street have been dealing with sinkholes for some time now.
On Friday, word got out that one in particular is much worse. Now you can see into a basement of one of the homes.
“It's sad, but you kind of in a way get used to it. You look out your window in the morning and say, how much closer is it getting to my house?” said Jael Wolf, who lives across the street.
Borough Manager Roger Powl told abc27 that type of damage was not unexpected. Crews were recently surveying the area, and officials are still trying to map out a plan to deal with the growing problem.
Powl also said there are also some legal issues when it comes to sinkhole on a homeowner's property, one of many issues being addressed.
