Warehouse opposition signs stolen

The debate over a proposed Cumberland County truck warehouse has reached a new level.

State police said someone stole about 30 signs that were posted in protest of the facility.

Investigators said the signs were stolen from Ritner Highway on Friday or Saturday.

At first, Goodman Birtcher wanted to build the 3 million square foot facility in Fairview Township, York County. Those plans were then scrapped in favor of the Cumberland County location. The property in question now falls in four municipalities, including Carlisle and Dickinson Township.

Many neighbors have voiced opposition to the plan.
