Fire breaks out at popular wedding venue

An afternoon fire damaged a York County estate, well known as a popular area wedding venue.

Authorities said the flames broke inside the a second-floor chimney of Lauxmont Farms, which is located on Long Level Road in Lower Windsor Township, at around 4 p.m. Saturday.

Part of the chimney eventually collapsed as firefighters were fighting the blaze.

The fire chief estimates $150,000 in damages, a majority of which is due to smoke.

No events were being held in the building at the time of the fire.
