Hit-and-run driver damaged postal vehicle

Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who damaged a U.S. Postal Service vehicle in York County.

The driver was in an older tan Honda sedan that struck the back of the postal vehicle Wednesday afternoon on North George Street near Taft Avenue in Manchester Township, according to Northern York County Regional police.

The postal worker was not injured, and the vehicle was moderately damaged, police said.

The driver stopped and asked the worker if she was alright, then returned to the Honda and took off at a high rate of speed, police said.

The driver is believed to be in his mid 20′s and the sedan, which has numerous bumper stickers, should have moderate front end damage, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Northern York County Regional police at 717-292-3647.
