Bethesda Mission seeks donations for Thanksgiving meals

The Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg is asking for donations of turkeys, other meats and cereals so that it can feed the poor and homeless on Thanksgiving Day.

The donations would also be used for food box distributions and for meals delivered to seniors and shut-ins.

Executive director Chuck Wingate said donations should be made as soon as possible to ensure that everyone who needs a meal will get it.

Those wishing to help those in need may bring their donations to the mission at 611 Reily Street at any time.

Bethesda Mission is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
