A Harrisburg man awaiting trial for an 18-year-old murder case in Franklin County has been convicted for a sexual assault in Dauphin County.

Johnny Foster, 57, of Harrisburg, was found guilty Thursday of indecent assault and harassment.

Foster indecently touched a woman in the parking lot of a Swatara Township retail store on September 27, 2012, according to prosecutors.

His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 6.

Authorities said Foster has an extensive criminal history that includes drugs, burglary and assault, and was on parole when he assaulted the woman.

He is facing additional invasion of privacy charges in Dauphin
County for taking pictures of a 15-year-old girl while she was
sleeping.

He has also been charged with first-degree murder in the January
1995 shooting death of Freddie Brumfield Jr. near Chambersburg.
