A Harrisburg man stopped for traffic violations ended up in prison when officers learned he was planning to have sex with his 15-year-old passenger, according to police.
Susquehanna Township police said 30-year-old Jason Andrew Moul was stopped Thursday afternoon at S. Progress Avenue and Walnut Street for vehicle equipment violations.
During the stop, Moul was found to have a
suspended driver's license and had several summary warrants for
his arrest, police said.
He was taken into custody on the warrants, and while officers were attempting to contact the girl's mother they learned Moul had met the teen online and had picked her up at the Susquehanna Township Middle School at the end
of the school day, police said.
The girl's mother told authorities she did not know Moul, and he later admitted during an interview that he planned to take the girl to his home for sex, police said.
He was charged with attempted
statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption
of minors, then sent to Dauphin County Prison on $10,000 bail and a probation
