Minor flooding expected along Conestoga River

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a flood warning for the Conestoga River in Lancaster.

At 5 p.m. Friday, the river was at 10.5 feet and was expected to rise above its flood stage of 11.0 feet by evening, the weather service said.

Forecasters predicted the Conestoga River would crest at 11.7 feet by Saturday morning, then fall below flood stage by early Saturday afternoon.

Minor flooding is expected along Grofftown Road.
