Harrisburg man arrested for attempted homicide

Harrisburg police said they have one man in custody for a shooting incident last weekend in the 1500 block of N. 6th Street, but a second suspect remains at large.

Danny Cruz, 35, of Harrisburg, was arrested Wednesday and charged as the shooter in the incident outside 1537 N 6th, where a 43-year-old city man was shot shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Cruz faces counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, person not to possess a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, retaliation against witnesses and conspiracy.

Investigators continue to look for 38-year-old Orlando Ayuso-Rivera, also of Harrisburg.

Police said they attempted to serve a warrant at a home in the Allison Hill area on Sunday, but  Ayuso-Rivera was not located.
