The FBI said it is seeking help from the public in an effort to identify possible additional victims of a man who allegedly traveled between Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey to sexually abuse a girl under the age of 13.
Joseph Anthony Caracciolo – also known as Joseph Crillo, Joseph Grillo and Tony Gallardo – traveled from New York to Atlantic County, NJ and locations in Pennsylvania to sexually abuse the girl between May and August, according to Special Agent Aaron Ford of the FBI's Newark Division.
Caracciolo, who was arrested and charged last month with the repeated sexual abuse of a minor, is a registered sex offender and has been in violation of registration requirements since August 2005, Ford said.
He allegedly has represented himself to be a chef, pediatric dentist, business owner, salesperson, and an electrician's assistant, and had claimed to be suffering from cancer, according to the FBI.
He is known to frequent Atlantic City casinos and has several tattoos including the words “Top Chef” on his forearm, a cancer ribbon with boxing gloves on the forearm, the initials AJ in his inner left wrist, the letter M on his inner right wrist, an X between the thumb and index finger, and ivy on his left ring finger, Ford said.
