More Midstate soldiers welcomed home

Hundreds of Pennsylvania National Guard members are now back home with their families.

Some from Central Pennsylvania arrived at Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County Wednesday. Members of the 55th Armor brigade have been gone for the past 10 months, doing military operations across the Middle East.

“Oh, I'm so happy,” said Elizabeth Benge, who is the wife of a soldier. “I'm very relieved that he's home. I'm very happy,” she said.

“You can't really describe what it's like to be gone for so long and then come back and be home finally,” said Lt. Seth Benge, “It's relief, it's the end of 10 months just waiting to come home basically.”

This was the seventh group from that brigade to come home.
