Two Lancaster teenagers have been jailed for robbing a woman at gunpoint Wednesday night.
Sixteen-year-old William Ortiz-Rivera and his brother, 18-year-old Jan Ortiz, were charged with robbery and conspiracy for an incident in the first block of E. Vine Street, according to city police.
Ortiz-Rivera was charged as an adult, and both suspects were sent to Lancaster County Prison on $75,000 bail.
Ortiz-Rivera pulled a gun from his waistband and pointed it at the woman before he grabbed her handbag and attempted to take it from her, police said.
Ortiz allegedly acted as a lookout.
The brothers fled when the woman refused to give up her handbag, but both were stopped by investigating officers and identified by the victim, police said.
According to police, a BB gun was found in the area where the two were stopped.
