York Twp. crews battle 2-alarm fire house fire

Officials are investigating a morning two-alarm house fire in York Township.

Crews were called to the scene along the 600 block of Chestnut Hill Road around 11 a.m.

Witnesses called 911 from the nearby Springwood Country Club, saying the flames were visible from the golf course.

Authorities called for additional units to bring extra water to get the fire under control.

There is no word on what caused the fire, or how much the damage was caused.

The State Police Fire Marshal has been called in to conduct an investigation.
