A Lebanon man is headed to trial for the attempted homicide of his 4-month-old daughter.

A district judge found enough evidence during a preliminary hearing Thursday to hold 27-year-old Robert Scott Adley for court.

In addition to attempted homicide, Adley faces trial on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

He remains in the Lebanon County prison on $1 million bail.

According to a criminal complaint filed July 30, Adley's daughter had a
fractured left femur, or thigh bone, as well as a fractured rib when the mother took the child to a hospital.

Adley claimed the baby girl had rolled off the couch, but further tests indicated the
infant had additional injuries in various stages of healing; including
fractures of the spine, a bruised lung, and multiple rib and leg
fractures, according to the complaint.

Police said in the charging document that the injuries could have caused the
paralysis or death of the child, who has since been
released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
