A robber appeared to have handgun in his pocket when he held up a gas station in suburban Harrisburg early Thursday, police said.

Lower Paxton Township police said the robber threatened a clerk during the heist at the Hess gas station and convenience store at 5390 Jonestown Road, but never displayed the gun.

He entered the store at around 5:30 a.m. while wearing a long, green hooded raincoat and sun glasses, then fled on foot after receiving cash from the drawer, police said.

The robber was described as being in his late 30's to early 40's, and 5'9″ to 6'0″ tall. He was also wearing a gray shirt with an unknown black graphic, mid-calf length black shorts, and white sneakers with a black design, police said.

Police have released a photograph from the store's security system so that someone may recognize him.
