Woman robbed of purse at Harrisburg store

A woman told police she had her purse stolen Thursday night in the parking lot of a Harrisburg-area Target store.

Swatara Township police said the woman reported that she been in the store with her granddaughter and had returned to her car when a man opened the driver's door and said, “give me your purse.”

He then grabbed her purse and fled.

Police said witness saw the man get into the passenger side of a black or dark blue Nissan Sentra or Subaru Impreza before the car sped away.

The vehicle fled the area heading north on High Point Boulevard toward Chambers Hill Road, police said.

The man that took the purse was white with a thin build, about 21 years old and 6'0″ tall, and was wearing a brown hoodie and dark jeans, police said.

The driver was described as white with a chubby face, also about 21 years old, and was wearing a black baseball hat turned backwards.
